TODAY and NBC's "Chicago Fire" honor the top firehouse dogs in America. Firehouses across the country submitted to the contest with a photo of their firehouse dog and an essay explaining why the dog deserved to be recognized.
The top three candidates appeared on TODAY on Sept. 24.
To vote for your favorite pup, visit www.today.com/topdog. The winner will be announced on Oct. 1 and will fetch a cameo role on an upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire."
Tune in to the season premiere of "Chicago Fire" tonight, Sept. 24 (10-11 p.m. ET) on NBC.
