 NEW YORK — May 12, 2023— NBC debuts a fall schedule of new and original series that feature dominant dramas, Tuesday laughs, beloved unscripted hits, fan-favorite event programming and a new night of Big Ten football.

Three new series are set to premiere in the fall – dramas “The Irrational” and “Found,” and multi-cam comedy “Extended Family,” all of which will stream next-day on Peacock along with the rest of NBC’s entertainment lineup. 

 

NBC’s 2023/24 Schedule Highlights:

Monday: #1 alternative series “The Voice” kicks off premiere week for its 24th cycle at 8 p.m. leading into the debut of high-stakes drama “The Irrational,” starring Jesse L. Martin at 10 p.m.

Tuesday: #1 new comedy “Night Court” gets the laughs started at 8 p.m., followed by the debut of Jon Cryer multi-cam “Extended Family” at 8:30 p.m. “The Voice” takes the stage at 9 p.m. followed by the highly anticipated second season of “Quantum Leap.”

Wednesday: Television’s highest-rated drama franchise returns with the One Chicago lineup kicking off at 8 p.m. with “Chicago Med,” continuing with “Chicago Fire” and concluding with #1 broadcast drama “Chicago P.D.”

Thursday: Network television’s top-rated Thursday starts with Season 23 of “Law & Order” at 8 p.m. followed by the record-extending 25th season of “Law & Order: SVU.” The night concludes with the premiere of the all-new Shanola Hampton-led missing persons drama “Found.”

Friday: Viewer-favorite game show “The Wall” starts at 8pm and leads into Friday’s hit newsmagazine, “Dateline NBC,” from 9-11 p.m.

SATURDAY: “Big Ten Saturday Night” arrives in primetime as some of the most storied programs in college football battle for conference supremacy.

Sunday: #1 primetime television show for a record 12 consecutive years, “NBC Sunday Night Football” will broadcast 20 regular-season games throughout the NFL season.

MIDSEASON/SUMMER:  Midseason brings two new unscripted shows to the lineup with “Untitled America’s Got Talent Series” as the next special edition of the highly successful franchise, and “Deal or No Deal Island” which brings the iconic game to the Banker’s private island for the biggest prize in series history.

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” is on the case once again in midseason, along with the return of fan-favorites “La Brea,” “Magnum P.I.” and season 2 of “Lopez vs. Lopez.” Last year’s #1 in total viewers new unscripted series “Password,” starring Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Keke Palmer, will be back with another round of the iconic game show. NBC will also debut an epic 10-part tentpole event series “The Americas,” narrated by actor, producer and writer Tom Hanks with music by two-time Oscar winner Hans Zimmer. In addition, the third and fourth seasons of hospital drama “Transplant” will return to the network.

NBC has more shows in the top 20 than any other network in the key 18-49 demographic and is home to the #1 unscripted program “The Voice,” the #1 broadcast drama with “Chicago P.D.,” the #1 entertainment program with “Saturday Night Live,” and the #1 new comedy of the 2022-23 season with “Night Court.” Late-night staples “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” are both #1 in their time periods in the demo.

As part of NBC’s rolling development cycle, the following projects have been picked-up to pilot with decisions yet to be made on series greenlights: comedies “Non-Evil Twin” and “St. Denis Medical,” and dramas “Wolf” and the untitled pilot from Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs. With NBC’s 52-week scheduling strategy, these pilots – if picked up to series – could be possibilities for later in the 2023-24 season or could roll over to the 2024-25 season.

Decisions are yet to be made on “American Auto,” “Grand Crew” and “Young Rock.”

The 2023 fall schedule will follow another huge summer on NBC, where the network has ranked #1 in total viewers for eight years running. Season 18 of “America’s Got Talent” kicks things off in May, along with the debut of “Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge,” the car makeover competition show based on one of the world’s most popular toys. In June, elite athletes are back to compete in season 15 of “American Ninja Warrior” and “LA Fire & Rescue” arrives to follow the real-life heroes of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“EXTENDED FAMILY”

Jim and Julia, after an amicable divorce, decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets more complicated for Jim when Trey, the owner of his favorite sports team, enters the picture and wins Julia’s heart.

The cast includes Jon Cryer, Donald Faison, Abigail Spencer, Sofia Capanna and Finn Sweeney.

Mike O’Malley will write and executive produce. Tom Werner, Wyc Grousbeck, Emilia Fazzalari and George Geyer also executive produce.

“FOUND”

In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. A public relations specialist, who was once herself one of those forgotten ones, and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.

The cast includes Shanola Hampton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta and Karan Oberoi.

 The cast includes Jesse L. Martin, Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz and Arash DeMaxi.

This incomparable project will employ revolutionary filmmaking technology that will showcase the wonders, secrets and fragilities of the Americas – Earth’s largest landmass and the only one to stretch between both poles – and reveal extraordinary, untold wildlife stories that deeply connect with millions around the world.

“UNTITLED AMERICA’S GOT TALENT SERIES”   

Building off the success of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” and “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” comes the next special edition of the world’s most successful TV franchise. Last year, “All-Stars” was the #1 new alternative series of the season in both the 18-49 demo and total viewers

The new series will be co-produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly and Jason Raff are the executive producers. 

"DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND”

The iconic game of “Deal or No Deal” is back and unlike anything you have ever seen before! This new format transports audiences to the Banker’s private island where he makes the rules and there are twists behind every palm tree. Hidden on the island are over 100 cases with millions of dollars split between them, which teams must retrieve so that they can play a game of Deal or No Deal against the Banker. Only one team will survive until the very last episode, where they’ll compete to beat the Banker for the biggest prize in “Deal or No Deal” history.

“Deal or No Deal” first launched in the Netherlands in 2002 and has been commissioned in more than 80 territories worldwide with more than 350 productions.

NBC heads into midseason as the #1 network in both total viewers and 18-49 demo in overall programming as well as being #1 in the demo in entertainment-only programming.  

“Saturday Night Live” continues its reign as the #1 entertainment program in the demo (live + 3). In live +7 viewing in the demo, NBC has the top three shows – “Chicago P.D.,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Chicago Fire.” “Quantum Leap,” which was recently given a full-series order, ranks #3 in new shows this season in the demo L+7.

In total viewers, the current season of “The Voice” – with coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Camila Cabello – ranks #1 for unscripted programming.

Launching right out of the holiday season, “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” premieres Monday, Jan. 2. This new series serves as an extension of the powerhouse hit franchise, featuring winners, fan favorites and viral sensations from previous seasons of “America’s Got Talent” and “Got Talent” franchises around the world.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, court is back in session when “Night Court” debuts. Melissa Rauch plays the late Harry Stone’s daughter and takes the gavel, sparring with new public defender and “Night Court” legend John Larroquette. A week after “Night Court” airs back-to-back episodes, the critically acclaimed Ana Gasteyer-starrer “American Auto” returns to create an hourlong Tuesday comedy block beginning Jan. 24.

Sunday, Feb. 19 will mark the premiere date for the broadcast return of “Magnum, P.I.” and series premiere of “Found,” starring Shanola Hampton and from executive producer Greg Berlanti. “Magnum P.I.,” starring Jay Hernandez as the suave title character, will be beginning its fifth season. A week later on Feb. 26 will be the Season 10 premiere of “The Blacklist,” the ultra-compelling drama starring Emmy Award winner James Spader as Red Reddington.

The Voice” returns March 6 with new coaches Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan alongside Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton. A day later, first-year hit “That’s My Jam,” with host Jimmy Fallon, returns for more games, performances and musical impressions, expanding to 10 episodes in season two.

In addition to their curated linear timeslots, all shows will be available to stream on Peacock.

MAGNUM P.I.

“Magnum P.I.” is a modern take on the classic series centering on Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business. The “majordomo” of the property is Juliet Higgins, a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent whose second job is to keep Magnum in line, with the help of her two Dobermans. When Magnum needs back up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors Theodore ‘TC’ Calvin, a former Marine chopper pilot who runs Island Hoppers, a helicopter tour business, and Orville “Rick” Wright, a former Marine door-gunner-turned-impresario of Oahu’s coolest nightclub and the most connected man on the island. With keys to a vintage Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck chilling in the fridge, Thomas Magnum is back on the case!

In 2021, NBC’s holiday programming reached more than 94 million viewers on the strength of an unrivaled lineup featuring dynamic live event specials and returning classics. The festivities continue this season as country music icon Dolly Parton headlines the film “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas.” NBC’s New Year’s Eve celebration is also back as Miley Cyrus continues the newest holiday tradition with the return of “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party,” joining annual favorites “Christmas in Rockefeller Center,” “The National Dog Show” and “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” which stood as the #1 entertainment program of 2021 in the key 18-49 demo.  

The drama continues midseason as James Spader and “The Blacklist” return for the 10th season of the beloved stalwart series, along with second seasons for a pair of comedy hits, “American Auto” and “Grand Crew,” which reached more than 24 million and 17 million viewers, respectively, across U.S. viewing platforms this year. Also joining the lineup is the debut of “Night Court,” a sequel to the beloved legal sitcom with John Larroquette reprising his role as D.A. Dan Fielding and starring Melissa Rauch as Judge Abby Stone. 

The world of unscripted competition is red hot for midseason and summer with a pair of competition imports: new game show “The Wheel,” hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre and based on a smash hit UK format, features contestants aiming to win big with the help of celebrity guests playing on a giant spinning wheel, and Dutch format "Million Dollar Island,” which will feature 100 contestants who attempt to forge friendships and build alliances as they plot to stay on a remote desert island for up to 50 days and compete to win their share of the ultimate $1 million prize.  

Returning competition favorites are also on the menu as Jimmy Fallon hosts celebrities for more musical fun and games in the second season of “That’s My Jam,” and viewer favorite “The Wall” returns to the party. Dick Wolf also enters the unscripted space with the docuseries “LA Fire and Rescue,” which follows the real-life heroes of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.  

The fall schedule is preceded by an action-packed summer on NBC, where the network has ranked #1 in the key demo for nine consecutive years and #1 in total viewers for six years running. Season 17 of “America’s Got Talent” kicks things off in May along with new social media-inspired dance challenge “Dancing with Myself,” featuring Shakira, Nick Jonas and Liza Koshy. “American Ninja Warrior” is back to thrill fans in June for season 14 and in July an all-new season of “Who Do You Think You Are?” debuts with Allison Janney, Zachary Levi, Nick Offerman, Billy Porter, Zachary Quinto and Bradley Whitford. August sees the arrival of iconic game show “Password,” from Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress Keke Palmer, who will be joined by Fallon and a celebrity cast. 

 NBC has more shows in the top 20 than any other network in the key 18-49 demographic and finished the season #1 in the demo for the eighth time in nine seasons. The network is home to the #1 unscripted program “The Voice,” the #1 drama with “This Is Us,” and the #1 comedy with “Saturday Night Live.” “This Is Us” and “Saturday Night Live” are the #1 and #2 entertainment programs on broadcast in the demo. Additional late-night hits “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” are both #1 in their time periods in the demo.  

As part of NBC’s rolling pilot process, the following projects have been picked up to pilot with decisions yet to be made on series greenlights: “Blank Slate,” “Found,” “Irrational,” “Unbroken” and an untitled drama from Mike Daniels. With NBC’s 52-week scheduling strategy, these pilots – if picked up to series – could be possibilities for later in the 2022-23 season or could roll over to the 2023-24 season.

During their time on the island, contestants gain and lose bracelets through various challenges, but when a player leaves the island, they must choose who will receive their portion of the money. In this intense competition, the strength of your personal bonds are just as important as being the ultimate player.

A modern-day movie musical about the making of a network TV special, “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas” is the frenetic backstage story and delightful on-camera results of Dolly’s desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the unique “mountain magic” she has always found in and around Dollywood at Christmas. Throughout the movie’s production numbers and rehearsal chaos, Dolly finds herself taking a private journey into her past, guided by the mysterious appearances of her personal Three Wise Men. When it’s time for her big special to air live, a renewed and inspired Dolly goes rogue and shows the world that the real magic of Christmas lies in the hearts of the children we all once were, the realization that Christmas is about the people we share it with, and how her faith remains the common thread between Christmases past, present, and future.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – July 15, 2021 – NBC has unveiled its upcoming premiere dates, highlighted in the fall by the series premieres of “Ordinary Joe” (Sept. 20) and “La Brea” (Sept. 28), as well as a special two-hour premiere of “Law & Order: SVU” (Sept. 23).   

“The Blacklist” moves to Thursdays at 8 p.m., taking the place of the previously announced “Law & Order: For the Defense.”

Three new dramas join the fall schedule, including “Ordinary Joe” – a heartfelt, uplifting series centered around the idea of how choices made in a single moment can alter the course of life forever; “La Brea,” which follows the aftermath of a massive sinkhole that opens in Los Angeles revealing a mysterious primeval land; and “Law & Order: For the Defense,” a new chapter of the beloved brand that puts lawyers under the microscope. With perennial hit “The Voice” returning for its 21st cycle, featuring first-time coach Ariana Grande, the two new dramas will use the music show’s enviable launch pad on Monday and Tuesday nights. 

The success of Wednesday night’s One Chicago lineup -- #1 in total viewers three years running -- will pave the way for the “Law & Order” franchise to dominate on Thursday nights. 

This new night of Dick Wolf dramas brings together the iconic, record-breaking 23rd season of “Law & Order: SVU” with newly minted hit “Law & Order: Organized Crime” and the premiere of “Law & Order: For the Defense,” providing the perfect playground for crossover events. 

 After kicking off with a special post-Olympics send-off for “Brooklyn Nine Nine” this summer, comedy returns to the schedule in midseason. New series “American Auto” and “Grand Crew” will join sophomore successes “Kenan,” “Mr. Mayor” and “Young Rock”for two big nights of funny.From “Superstore” creator Justin Spitzer and starring Ana Gasteyer and Jon Barinholtz, “American Auto” builds on NBC’s legacy as the unrivaled home of the workplace comedy.  “Grand Crew” also builds on NBC catalogue, hailing from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s” Phil Augusta Jackson and Dan Goor. Starring Echo Kellum (“Arrow”) and Nicole Byer (“Nailed It!”), “Grand Crew” revolves around a group of friends who unpack the ups and downs of life and love at a wine bar. 

Midseason continues with new true-crime limited series “The Thing About Pam,” from Blumhouse Television, starring Renee Zellweger and inspired by episodes of “Dateline NBC,” where it became one of the most popular topics to ever air on the hit franchise. Other marquee midseason dramas include the sixth and final season of Dan Fogelman’s award-winning series “This Is Us,” which will return to its traditional Tuesday night 9 p.m. timeslot to give fans a largely uninterrupted run. 

Throughout the year, NBC’s scripted series will be supercharged by huge promotional opportunities, including the Tokyo Summer Olympics, Beijing Winter Olympics and Super Bowl LVI as well as NBC’s hit holiday programming and four-quadrant unscripted series. 

 NBC’s holiday programming remains a top-audience driver, and this season’s robust lineup of live events and specials includes a return to the network’s storied tradition of live musicals with seven-time Tony Award winner “Annie Live!” In addition, Jimmy Fallon is set produce the animated special “Five More Sleeps ‘Til Christmas,” based on his best-selling children’s book, and a new animated special, “Trolls Holiday in Harmony,” arrives from DreamWorks Animation.  

Hit comedies “Kenan,” “Mr. Mayor,” and “Young Rock” will also air special holiday episodes.  These special events join perennial favorites that include “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” and “Christmas at Rockefeller Center,” ensuring that audiences stay entertained and engaged all through the holiday season.     

Unscripted series continue the family fun with all new shows and returning favorites that kick-off in January and will populate the schedule throughout midseason and summer. These include “AGT: Extreme,” the high-octane, stunt-filled spinoff of hit franchise “America’s Got Talent,” and for the first time, an adaptation of the biggest music competition in the world, Eurovision Song Contest, with “American Song Contest.” This all-live event series features original musical performances, representing all 50 states, five U.S. territories and our nation’s capital, competing to win the country's vote for the Best Original Song in a grand spectacle.

NEW YORK — May 14, 2017 — On the heels of a victorious 2016-17 season, NBC has announced a new season lineup that builds upon its remarkable stability while adding a rich variety of new series. The new schedule, which will add five first-year dramas and three new comedies over the course of the 2017-18 season, is anchored by a new powerhouse Thursday lineup that includes the return of one of the most successful comedies in TV history, “Will & Grace,” the highly anticipated second season of the cultural phenomenon “This Is Us” and Dick Wolf’s explosive new true crime event series “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders.”

NBC is poised to win the traditional September-to-May season in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and most other key demographics. This is the third time in four years that NBC has won the coveted 18-49 demo and the first time in five years any network has finished #1 even without a boost from the Super Bowl or an in-season Olympics. NBC is also well positioned to win the full 52-week September-to-September season in 18-49 for a fourth year in a row.

NBC currently leads the season in averages that include all programs, as well as rankings that include entertainment programs only (no sports).

NBC’s lineup during the successful 2016-17 season has included primetime’s #1 and #2 broadcast series in 18-49, Sunday and Thursday NFL football; television’s #1 first-year series and #1 broadcast drama, “This Is Us”; regular Monday and Tuesday wins keyed by “The Voice”; time-period improvements from four series that aired in new timeslots this season; and timeslot wins in 18-49 or total viewers for each of the “Chicago” dramas.

“Coming off another stabilizing year, which included the launch of one of the great new dramas in a decade, our upcoming fall schedule is both limited in the number of new series and aggressive in rebooting Thursday night,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. “To create another undeniable night of television, we’re aligning some of our most potent shows on Thursday in order to bring back ‘Must See TV.’ We are also strategically deploying strong new shows in choice time periods on other nights and nurturing our growing comedy lineup.

“To do all that you have to have the goods, and our development teams headed by Presidents Jennifer Salke and Paul Telegdy once again delivered new scripted and unscripted shows that are among the best on television. From fall to midseason to summer, we will be programming robustly so as to achieve a record amount of original programming all year long. And when you add the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics, and the balance of our unprecedented sports franchises, we expect to remain the leading broadcast network by virtually every measure.”

Drama highlights of the newly announced fall schedule are “The Brave,” where a Washington, D.C., team of highly trained analysts and Special Ops forces work together to execute missions in some of the most dangerous places in the world; and uberproducer Dick Wolf’s “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders,” which stars four-time Emmy Award winner Edie Falco as lead attorney Leslie Abramson, who represented the brothers who killed their wealthy parents in a Beverly Hills mansion.

New dramas that will launch in midseason are “Rise,” from “Parenthood” and “Friday Night Lights” producer Jason Katims, and “Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller, starring Josh Radnor (“How I Met Your Mother”), Rosie Perez (Oscar nominee) and Auli’i Cravalho (“Moana”), about a dedicated high school teacher who, when taking over the school’s lackluster theater department, galvanizes not only the faculty and students but the entire working-class town; “Good Girls,” from executive producer Jenna Bans (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal”), which mixes a little of “Thelma & Louise” with “Breaking Bad,” about three best friends who rob a local supermarket to help make ends meet and realize their perfect getaway is anything but; and “Reverie,” starring Sarah Shahi as a college professor trying to save ordinary people who have lost themselves in a highly advanced virtual-reality program in which you can literally live your dreams.

NBC’s growing comedy lineup this fall is highlighted by the return of the beloved “Will & Grace,” which was previously nominated for 83 Emmy Awards and won 16, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The fearsome foursome — Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally — return in all their glory, as do executive producers Max Mutchnick, David Kohan and legendary director James Burrows. NBC’s two other new comedy series premiering later this season are “A.P. Bio” from executive producers Lorne Michaels and Seth Meyers, which stars Glenn Howerton (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) as an Advanced Placement biology teacher who makes it perfectly clear he will not be teaching any biology and uses his students to his own benefit, and “Champions,” from Charlie Grandy (“The Office”) and Mindy Kaling (“The Mindy Project”), about a charismatic gym owner with no ambition who suddenly finds out he has a teenage son.

Rounding out NBC’s robust schedule are alternative series that include “The Awesome Show,” from executive producers Chris Hardwick (“The Wall”), Mark Burnett (“The Voice”) and Silicon Valley’s Singularity University, that will showcase the groundbreaking scientific and technological advances that are shaping the future; “Ellen’s Game of Games,” starring the one and only Ellen DeGeneres and featuring super-sized versions of some of the most beloved games from her daytime talk show; “Genius Junior,” hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, celebrates the smartest kids in America with mind-blowing tests of logic, math, memory, spelling and more; and “The Handmade Project,” from executive producers Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, a lighthearted competition celebrating the creativity and craftiness in all of us.

“GOOD GIRLS”
When three suburban moms get tired of trying to make ends meet, they decide it’s time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local supermarket at (toy) gunpoint. But when the manager catches a glimpse of one of them and the loot is far more than they expected, it doesn’t take long for the three best friends to realize the perfect getaway will be harder than they think. From executive producer Jenna Bans (“Scandal”) comes this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little “Thelma & Louise” with a bit of “Breaking Bad.”

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Dec. 8, 2016 — With comedies “Trial & Error” and “Great News” both being given a Tuesday lead-in from powerhouse alternative series “The Voice,” and “Powerless” launching on Thursdays immediately following hit comedy “Superstore,” NBC’s midseason lineup will build aggressively on the strength and stability of all areas of primetime’s #1 schedule.

Following a 90-minute telecast of “The Voice” on Tuesday, March 7, “Trial & Error” — co-starring five-time Emmy Award winner John Lithgow — will debut at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT and return the following week with back-to-back episodes beginning at 9 p.m. At the conclusion of “Trial & Error,” NBC’s “Great News” — from executive producers and “30 Rock” Emmy winners Tracey Wigfield, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock — will debut in its own hourlong block with back-to-back episodes beginning Tuesday, April 25 at 9 p.m.

“Powerless,” based on characters from DC Comics, begins Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8:30 p.m. following “Superstore,” one of the most critically applauded comedies on all of television and a solid rating performer that has helped NBC establish a promising comedy beachhead this fall on Thursday nights.

In addition, as part of its comprehensive midseason schedule, NBC is debuting a powerful new Sunday lineup beginning March 5 with the return of “Little Big Shots,” last season’s most-watched new series and the most-watched new alternative series on any broadcast network in six years; “Chicago Justice,” the latest installment of the highly successful Chicago franchise from superproducer Dick Wolf; and the second season of hit drama “Shades of Blue,” which stars Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta.

Also, NBC has set Thursday, Feb. 23 as the premiere for the highly anticipated spinoff “The Blacklist: Redemption,” which will seamlessly air in the same 10 p.m. timeslot as “The Blacklist” for eight weeks. At the conclusion of “The Blacklist: Redemption,” James Spader and “The Blacklist” will return at 10 p.m. Thursday, April 20 with a two-hour episode.

As previously announced, the spring cycle of “The Voice” will premiere with a two-hour telecast on Monday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m.

NBC heads into midseason comfortably #1 in the 18-49 demo led by broadcast television’s #1 series in adults 18-49, “Sunday Night Football”; the #1 alternative series, “The Voice”; the fall’s #1 new series, “This Is Us”; and regular timeslot wins from “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med.”

“POWERLESS” — Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8:30 p.m.
In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.

Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk and Ron Funches also star.

Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Len Goldstein, Marc Buckland and Dean Lorey are executive producers of “Powerless.” The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and is based on the characters from DC.

“THE BLACKLIST: REDEMPTION” — Thursday, Feb. 23 at 10 p.m.
In this thrilling new spinoff, the world's most elusive criminals from Red's infamous list come together to form an elite mercenary team as they try to regain their self-worth after a lifetime of inflicting damage on the world. Seeking redemption for their past transgressions, this new group solves problems governments don't dare touch. Blacklist undercover operative Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) joins the team’s brilliant and cunning chief, Susan "Scottie" Hargrave (Famke Janssen), as well as lethal assassin and Tom nemesis Matias Solomon (Edi Gathegi), as they aim to be a force for good and right dangerous wrongs. Along with highly skilled members Nez Rowan (Tawny Cypress) and hacker Dumont (Adrian Martinez), they will undertake seemingly impossible missions — all in the hopes of repairing their damaged souls.

Jon Bokenkamp, John Eisendrath and David Amann serve as writers and executive producers. John Fox and John Davis also executive produce. Co-executive producer John Terlesky directs. “The Blacklist: Redemption” was created by Bokenkamp, Eisendrath, Lukas Reiter and J.R. Orci. “LITTLE BIG SHOTS” — Sunday, March 5 at 8 p.m.
“Little Big Shots,” which showcases the world’s most extraordinarily fun and talented kids, features two of the biggest names in comedy — executive producers Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey. Harvey hosts the family-friendly series that celebrates phenomenal kids and goes toe to toe with them in hilarious conversations and interviews.

Ranging from pint-sized dancers and amazing athletes to gifted singers and musicians, these engaging young performers will charm and delight viewers. This is not a competition but a funny feel-good show that celebrates the uniqueness of children. Gifted young performers from around the globe will awe the nation with their talents in this addictively fun series that families can watch and enjoy together.

During its first season “Little Big Shots” originals averaged a 2.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 13.0 million viewers in “live plus seven day” Nielsens, making it the most-watched new series of the season and the #1 new alternative series in adults 18-49. It was also the most-watched new alternative series on any Big 4 network in six years.

“CHICAGO JUSTICE” — Sunday, March 5 at 9 p.m.
Powerhouse creator Dick Wolf delivers a captivating new installment to the hit Chicago franchise. Just like their brethren in the Chicago P.D., the State’s Attorney’s dedicated team of prosecutors and investigators navigate heated city politics and controversy head-on, while fearlessly pursuing justice. As they take on the city’s high-stakes and often media-frenzied cases, they must balance public opinion, power struggles within the system and their unwavering passion for the law.

At the center of the show is prosecutor Peter Stone (Philip Winchester), the ambitious Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau. Relentless in his quest for justice, it’s more than a job, it’s a purpose. Son of renowned New York City District Attorney Ben Stone (from “Law & Order”), Stone is shooting at a target that only he can see. This often puts him in direct conflict with Mark Jefferies (Carl Weathers), the Cook County State’s Attorney who sees the world through a political prism. While Jefferies believes that a good prosecutor gives the jury and the public a clear, clean and digestible narrative, Stone is convinced the law isn’t always best served in a sound bite. Together with their team, Stone and Jefferies strive to bring some much-needed justice to the city of Chicago.

The team also includes Assistant State’s Attorney Anna Valdez (Monica Barbaro), a passionate newcomer, who’s more flexible and willing to bend the rules to get the right result; Laura Nagel (Joelle Carter), a tough-as-nails State’s Attorney Investigator that sees each case through the eyes of the victim; and Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda, formerly on “Chicago P.D.”), a level-headed and by-the-book detective turned Chief Investigator.

“SHADES OF BLUE” — Sunday, March 5 at 10 p.m.
Harlee Santos (Jennifer Lopez) is a charismatic single mother and resourceful detective at the heart of a tight-knit crew of Brooklyn detectives, led by enigmatic Lt. Matt Wozniak (Ray Liotta) who often leads the team to step outside the limitations of the law in order to effectively protect their precinct and their own.

Harlee navigates her fractured relationship with Wozniak, as she struggles to conceal her deepest secret: she killed her daughter’s father. Following his discovery that Harlee collaborated with the FBI, Wozniak is confronted with a gut-wrenching dilemma of his own. The crew is under tight scrutiny from Stahl (Warren Kole) and the FBI as well as from Internal Affairs, in the form of a gregarious detective, Verco (guest star Dov Davidoff), who investigates the disappearance of one of their own. Meanwhile, a former member of their crew, Julia Ayres (guest star Anna Gunn), runs for mayor and her complex relationship with Harlee and Wozniak comes to the fore. Neither Harlee nor Wozniak anticipates that Ayres’ corrupt connections will trap them in a dangerous war with the Mafia.

The cast includes Drea de Matteo, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca, Hampton Fluker, Sarah Jeffery and Gino Anthony Pesi.

During its first season “Shades of Blue” averaged a 2.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 9.9 million viewers overall in “live plus seven day” ratings from Nielsen Media Research, which made it NBC’s most-watched new Thursday series in 12 years.

Showrunner Jack Orman and Jennifer Lopez serve as executive producers along with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, creator Adi Hasak, Ryan Seacrest and Nina Wass. “Shades of Blue” is a production of Universal Television, Nuyorican Productions, EGTV, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Jack Orman Productions.

“TRIAL & ERROR” — Tuesday, March 7 at 9:30 p.m. and each Tuesday at 9 and 9:30 p.m.

In the spirit of true crime documentaries, this outrageous fish-out-of-water comedy features bright-eyed New York lawyer Josh Segal (Nicholas D’Agosto), who heads to a tiny Southern town for his first big case. His mission? To defend an eccentric “rollercizing” poetry professor (John Lithgow) accused of the bizarre murder of his beloved wife. Settling into his makeshift office behind a taxidermy shop and meeting his quirky team of local misfits, Josh suspects that winning his first big case will not be easy, especially when his client is always making himself look guilty.

The cast also includes Jayma Mays, Sherri Shepherd, Steven Boyer and Krysta Rodriguez.

Jeff Astrof, Matt Miller and Jeffrey Blitz are executive producers of “Trial & Error.” Astrof & Miller wrote the pilot, which was directed by Blitz. The series is produced by Barge Productions and Good Session Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

“GREAT NEWS” — Tuesday, April 25 at 9 and 9:30 p.m.
Getting along with office colleagues can be rough, but working with your mom? That’s a whole different story, and it’s the headline for Katie Wendelson (Briga Heelan), a smart, ambitious news producer at national cable news show “The Breakdown.” After 30 years of being a stay-at-home mom, Carol (Andrea Martin) decides that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and lands an internship at her daughter’s news show. This is Katie’s worst nightmare, until she comes to realize that with her biggest cheerleader at her side, she and her mom both might just make it after all.

Sitting in the co-anchor chair at “The Breakdown” is Chuck Pierce (John Michael Higgins), the blowhard, difficult-to-please news desk veteran. Chuck intimidates everyone on staff except for Carol, who uses her polished mom skills to deal with him. Alongside him is Portia (Nicole Richie), the young, very hip co-host who brings a different perspective to old-fashioned journalism. Leading the news team is Greg (Adam Campbell), the dashing young executive producer. Katie’s closest friend at the office is Justin (Horatio Sanz), the laid back video editor who has seen it all and is always more than happy to dole out his zen-like advice. Rounding out the newsroom is Beth (Tracey Wigfield), the creepy resident meteorologist who is far from your stereotypical weather girl.

Wigfield, an Emmy Award-winning writer on “30 Rock,” serves as creator and executive producer. Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jack Burditt and David Miner also executive produce. Beth McCarthy-Miller directed the pilot. “Great News” is produced by Little Stranger Inc., Bevel Gears, Big Wig Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment Inc. and Universal Television.
