TNT Greenlights “Marshal Law: Texas” (working title), Unscripted Drama from Executive Producer Jerry Bruckheimer

TNT has given the greenlight to Marshal Law: Texas (working title), a new unscripted drama from Warner Horizon Television, Jerry Bruckheimer Television (JBTV) and Megalomedia Inc. The network has ordered six episodes of the series, which is being executive-produced by JBTV’s Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman, along with Megalomedia’s Jonathan Nowzaradan. Jerry Bruckheimer Television’s KristieAnne Reed is co-executive producer.

Marshal Law: Texas, which is slated to premiere in 2013, is set in Houston, Texas. Produced with the cooperation of The U.S. Marshal Service, the series centers on the elite Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, which includes U.S. Marshals working with personnel from the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and other law-enforcement agencies. Marshal Law: Texas follows these dedicated officers as they track down extremely violent offenders, serve warrants and go on the hunt for some of America’s most wanted criminals.

Marshal Law: Texas marks TNT’s latest order for a 2013 unscripted series, a key component in the network’s strategy to expand to a year-round model of original programming. On Feb. 27, the network will premiere Boston’s Finest, a gripping new series about the Boston Police Department from executive producer Donnie Wahlberg. This summer, TNT will premiere the competition series The Hero, headlined by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and 72 Hours, from the executive producer of Extreme Makeover and The Moment of Truth.

TNT recently greenlit two additional unscripted series to premiere in 2013: Cold Justice (working title), follows two top-notch female investigators as they dig into murder cases that have gone unsolved for years, and Save Our Business (working title), a transformational business-makeover series headlined by British entrepreneur and millionaire Peter Jones.
