GEORGE WENDT ("CHEERS") GUEST STARS - HARRY MUST DEFEND HERSELF AGAINST A SMALL TOWN FOR FAILING TO DRIVE AN AMERICAN MADE CAR – While Harry (Kathy Bates) is on vacation, her trip takes a frustrating turn when the small town of Langford, Ohio impounds her Mercedes Benz for violating their “Buy American” law. Harry, with Oliver (Mark Valley) at her side, challenges the town’s law and is pit against a young, homespun attorney and the engine behind the law, Langford’s mayor, Franklin Chickory (George Wendt). Meanwhile Adam (Nate Corddry) represents the Chens, a Chinese family whose daughter was stolen because of China’s one-child policy and adopted by American parents. With Cassie’s (Karen Olivo) help, Adam hopes to win custody for the Chens. Christopher McDonald also stars.

Here are the details and promotional photos from the TNT Mystery Movie Night film “Silent Witness”.

Silent Witness – Air Date Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at 9 PM (ET/PT)

This legal drama based on Richard North Patterson’s novel stars Dermot Mulroney (Zodiak, Copycat) as prominent defense attorney Tony Lord, who returns to his hometown to defend an old friend, played by Michael Cudlitz (TNT’s Southland). The friend is a teacher accused of murdering one of his students, and the case re-opens the heartache from Tony’s own high school days, when he was a student falsely accused of murdering his first love. Silent Witness also stars Anne Heche (Hung, Men in Trees) as Sue Robb, the wife of the accused teacher, and Judd Hirsch (Damages, Taxi) as Saul Ruben, Tony Lord’s close friend and associate. Lizzie Friedman and Greg Little, the team behind One Lucky Elephant, Whiz Kids and Sex and Death 101, serve as executive producers along with Howard Braunstein (The Informant!). Peter Markle (Bat*21, Flight 93) is set to direct from a script by Thomas Michael Donnelly (Our Fathers).

Meanwhile, Duffy manages to get under Jane’s skin after making comments about her relationship with Costello. Kirk Acevedo, Tim Griffin, Damon Gupton, Peter Gerety and Kenny Johnson also star.

"Southland" New Season 4 Photos: Michael Cudlitz, Regina King, Dorian Missick

The cast and crew of Southland are back on the streets of Los Angeles as TNT has begun production on a fourth season of the acclaimed drama series. The intensely personal, first-person look at cops and detectives on the beat stars Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy, Regina King and Ben McKenzie, who will be joined this season by special guest star Lucy Liu. TNT’s Southland is set to launch its new season Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).
